Ficciones Typografika by Formist

Ficciones Typografika, curated by Erik Brandt, is a project dedicated to typographic exploration in a public space. During a five year period, Erik set up a poster board space on the side of his home in Minneapolis which became a public display of typographic experimentation for designers around the world. This behemoth is beautifully designed by Formist. The book is typeset in a custom typeface by Formist that adds another intelligent, nuanced layer to this supreme volume.

For me, this kind of experimentation is what drives culture and pushes culture into new realms. By challenging what is known, by broadening audiences intellectual and emotional responses, and providing the scaffolding for future design to thrive on. This book lays the foundations for all of this.
