Funeral For A Friend - Casually dressed and deep in conversation (2003)
Rummaging through what limited CDs I have left at home, I uncovered some artworks that caught my eye, again. As a kid I used to spend hours at the local record store flicking through rows and rows of CDs, scanning cover by cover, figuring out in my mind, what makes them good, bad, ugly, funny and/or bizarre. How could I make them better? What would I have changed to enhance the desirability of these objects. Was the music I understood certain bands to play, reflected on these covers? For a long time, CD and record covers have been such an incredible canvas for expression and an opportunity to visually respond to the music inside. One can only hope that they stay alive, in some way.
