Very textural

I’ve been on the hunt for mind melting textures to experiment with for my new playlist design that will be hitting your eyes and ears over the next few days. Here’s a snippet of some tasty ones I have captured. Textural images have this tactile quality to them. Even though an image sits in two dimensional space, great textural imagery can be felt with your eyes.

Light can play a huge part in the effectiveness of texture. As you can see above, the frosted glass perfectly abstracts majority of the scene behind it, leaving the mind’s eye open to imagining the wonders beyond. The light captures subtle pink pockets of colour. The right hand side of the image hints to the viewer a possible answer to what stands behind this rippled beauty.
